The Kurt Scheller Academy
The academy was established in 2002. The inspiration to create the first culinary academy in Poland came from Kurt Scheller’s dream about a place, where he could share his passion.
The mission of the Academy is to promote excellent cuisine from all over the world. Every student, by active participation, under the watchful eye of the Master himself can discover their unique, hidden cooking talents.
The academy is open to both gastronomy school adepts, professionals, chefs, amateurs and private home cooking enthusiasts alike. Anybody can participate in the training, even the youngest cooking art adept, although under the supervision of an adult. Students learn step by step how to prepare each dish and acquire broad expertise in cooking methods. All training is conducted in a professional manner, using the highest quality products.
The Academy’s kitchen facility is equipped with high standard hardware, where 30 people can work at once, including the lecture/dining room. Students can also use the Master’s cooking library, which contains a broad selection of cook books in German, English, French, Polish, Arabic...
The original location of the Kurt Scheller Academy until June 2008 was at Piękna 68 St. in Warsaw, next to the prestigious Rialto Hotel. Currently the trainings take place in a building at Międzynarodowa 68 St. The spirit at the new headquarter was largely preserved.
